Are after-school activities worth it?

This week the after-school activities were given a green light. According to my trustworthy sources, they have been nothing but fun. Apart from being fun, there have been new additions to the activities one can participate in. The original ones could not have been replaced. These are soccer, volleyball, basketball, and track and field. The new additions are quite interesting, we have baking and cooking, and we even have drawing classes!
On Thursday, September 23, high-schoolers attended the after-school activities that they signed up to. All I got from all of my classmates and other colleagues was positive feedback and reviews. “It was so funny,” – Lucilla Cattoretti. “It feels like we’re are going back to a new normal!” – Catalina Quiroga. “I honestly thought it was going to be boring, but it is just like before,” – Nicolas De Grandchant. The only thing that the Cougar society would like to change is that after-school activities should not be recreational. The Cougar community wants the thrill of joining tournaments and the push of winning against other schools. I speak for the whole Cougar community when I say that Friendship Games was our favorite school activity. We know that in times of Covid this is hard to accomplish, but we have faith in the school administration that it will be taken into consideration.
We thank the school administration, staff, teachers, and coaches for making school activities fun. For getting us back to our new normal. It feels awesome to be a proud Cougar!
