Through the invention of electronics, humans have become more dependent on their cell phones, computers, televisions, and other technologies. People can instantly search questions, explanations, videos, music, and have access to about anything they would want with a few clicks of a button. Without our technological devices humans are unable to perform many given tasks, and therefore the question arises, what would the possibilities of humans be if they were directly connected to these electronics and could use them at any point for any reason directly with their minds?
Humans spend so much time on their technological devices that Elon Musk, the man who proposed to connect human brains to computers, stated that “your phone is already an extension of you. You’re already a cyborg.” Although Musk’s proposal comes at a surprise to most people, it is true that to a certain extent, humans have become so dependent on their technology that they have become a part of those devices.
The idea of neural link comes from the concept of linking human brains directly into computers and other electronics. The idea proposes implants that will allow the human mind to connect and use programs available on electronic devices. Elon Musk believes that neural link is a crucial factor for the future of humans. In addition, Musk and other scientific researchers fear the impact that artificial intelligence would have on earth.
Musk, as a result, argued that by linking human brains to computers and electrical devices, superhumans would be formed. People would be able to access any information they wanted in just a few seconds, making the possibilities and opportunities for humans infinite.
