Borderline Personality Disorder

Borderline personality disorder or BPD is a mental illness characterized by an ongoing pattern of varying moods, unstable relationships, and distorted sense of self.

People with BPD may experience frequent mood swings, uncertainty about who they are and how they see themselves. Their interests and values can change frequently, which causes their identity problems. Fear of abandonment is a common symptom among people with a borderline personality disorder. Quickly initiating intimate relationships or cutting off communication with someone before being abandoned. Unstable relationships with friends, family, and loved ones are also a problem. At times extreme love for a person is felt and other times extreme anger and hate towards that same person is felt.
People with BPD think in extreme, meaning that things are perceived as really bad or really good, everything is either black or white, there’s no in-between. Other symptoms include self-harming behavior, recurring suicidal behavior, and very intense mood changes which can happen without anything significant triggering them.

Borderline personality is known for being difficult to treat, however, it is not impossible if there is help of psychiatrists and medication.
