Clubhouse – What is it Like to Have Access?

After reading the title some of you may be asking yourselves, what is Club House? Let me explain, Club House is an invitation-only audio-chat social networking app launched in 2020. In simpler terms, it is an interactive podcast in which the host can interact with the audience. The cool thing is, anyone can start a room and be the host. Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg have recently participated in “rooms,” causing such a stir that the platform nearly crashes. I have been on Club House for about two weeks now, and now you’ll read the story of how I got an invite, and what it is like to be a part of this.

It wasn’t easy to get an invite, I started by thinking about people I know that might have access to the app and the result was, most people I knew didn’t even know what Club House was. So like any normal person would do, I jumped on Ebay and bought an invite from a stranger for $125. Just kidding, I wish it was that easy. What I really did was I jumped on Reddit and looked for threads that talked about Club House invites. Once I found one, I opened the link on the top of the thread and it took me to chat in Telegram with around 4,000 people on it. From what I understood the person to create this chat had already access to the app and he decided to create a chain in which he would pass on his invite to the next person in line that was in the chat. Luckily for me, the chain was still active when I joined. Around 2 days after hopping on Telegram and organizing a bunch of people to pass their invites faster, I got my invite from Anastasiia Kozlova, a Russian chick I’ll probably never hear about again in my life.

I’ve been on Club House for almost two weeks now. When I first joined, I was excited because I would be able to listen to extremely wealthy and successful people talk. Now I’ve come to realize that even though the concept of listening to that kind of people is cool, it is not the best part of this app. My favorite part about Clubhouse has been being able to interact with people and talk with them about common interests or being able to ask questions about something you don’t know to someone that is an expert on that topic. For example, I’ve been joining many rooms in which we talk about FC Barcelona and do match previews and reviews. I’ve also been joining many cryptocurrency rooms where I just ask questions to people that really know about that and I’m able to learn.

I’m even planning to open a club with a friend of mine, in which we will be talking about tennis and reviewing cool tennis matches and discussing our favorite players and stuff like that. Another idea I had with a friend of mine was to open a club in which we would discuss how it is to leave in a third-world country like Bolivia. I think all of these are cool ideas and certainly, there would be people that would want to listen. If you’re interested in joining Clubhouse and have friends that have access to it, don’t be afraid to ask them for an invite, most of the time they won’t have anyone else to give it to and you’ll get one. When using Clubhouse you will get the ability to talk, tell stories, meet new interesting people around the world, and deepen relationships; you’ll be able to do this and much more without even showing your face.

Hi, I’m Sebastian. I’m an FCB fan (currently debating if I should change team) and I love playing tennis. I know how to solve a Rubik’s Cube and Messi is the goat.
