First Japanese PGA Winner

Hideki Matsuyama wins the 2021 PGA Masters Tournament. This historic win is an accomplishment in many ways. Matsuyama, who hasn’t won a golf tournament in 4 years, won the masters making him the first Japanese man to win a golf major.  His win makes him have newfound hope for more Japanese golf players. The player wasn’t one of the top picks to win the tournament, considering he was 25th overall in the world, however, his impressive playing led him to the win. The historic game was played at Augusta National Golf Course in Augusta Georgia. He ended up winning the game by 1 point overall, so the games were very close and difficult for the player.
