How do pimples work?

Do you have pimples? Do you ever wonder why?Would you like to understand the process of why pimples appear in your face? Pimples are not only depending on what you eat, but also on what stage of puberty you are at. Pimples cannot be prevented, but they can be controlled.

Pimples are a small pustule or papule. They develop when oil glands, or sebaceous glands clog and become infected. When these oil glands get clogged, they lead to swollen, red lesions filled with pus. Pimples are a part of acne. Most of the time people get acne around puberty, but it can develop at any age. People experience hormone production changes during puberty. Sebaceous glands located on hair follicles can become overactive. This is the reason pimples are most likely to occur during the teenage years and around menstruation, for women.

The most common areas affected by pimples are the face, the  back, the chest, and the shoulders. The reason for these areas to be the most affected, is that there are many sebaceous glands in these areas of skin. There are several different types of pimples, and they have different signs and symptoms. These different types of pimples are the whiteheads, blackheads, papules, pustules, nodules, and cysts. Because of their color, some people believe pimples are caused by dirt, due to their color, so they scrub their faces to get rid of it. However, the answer is that scrubbing does not help and instead it. Scrubbing may irritate the skin and cause other problems.
