Is This Our Year?

Friendship Games are right around the corner. Will this be the year where the Cougars will take the overall trophy back to La Paz? Last year, shockingly, AISB took the trophy. Most of us assumed that the Jaguars would’ve taken it home, but they did not. Honestly, we did not perform as well as we used to last year because the only team that got to the finals was the girls’ soccer team. All of our other teams had the potential to get to the final, but sadly, they did not.

This year, Friendship Games will take place in Santa Cruz, home of the Jaguars, and it will include all of the sports: soccer, basketball, volleyball, and track. We have strong teams and I’m certain that if our athletes work and train hard, we will bring the trophy home. It won’t be easy, but with dedication and effort, anything is possible. Non-athletes must support the athletes. Even if you don’t travel, you can support our teams by watching live-streamed games in the Cougar Press. Will this be our year? I strongly believe so. Go Cougars!
