Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker are back for round two. Their initial bout ended with Adesanya knocking out Robert Whittaker in the second round. Adesanya was a clear winner in their first bout which might lead you to think that the upcoming fight will be very straightforward and Adesanya will win again in a spectacular fashion.
Nonetheless, many MMA experts are saying that since Whitaker’s loss to Adesanya he has made many changes to his fighting style. Adesanya, although undefeated in his own weight class, lost recently to Jan Blachowicz, who was an expert at grappling. Adesanya in the past has been way too quick for any of his opponents to be able to score any kind of takedown. Whittaker since his loss has made clear improvements in his grappling and has won his last fights due to that newfound talent in grappling. Adesanya nonetheless comes into the fight as a clear favorite as he is one of the fastest and most accurate Strikers ever in the sport. In the previous bout, Adesanya was way too quick for Whitaker and was able to land a significant strike at the end of the first round Whittaker was able to survive the first round by the Bell nonetheless in the second round Adesanya stuck to what he was making progress with and ended up finishing the bout.
The previous bout was fought in Australia Whitaker’s hometown. Now Adesanya has made it clear that he wants the fight to happen in Auckland, New Zealand his hometown he says it is time to bring his hometown fans a night to remember.
