Manchester United Blows the Premier League’s Lead

Manchester United is considered by many the best club in the history of England. Everyone remembers that the Red Devils were, at one point, pretty much invincible. Under their historic manager, Alex Ferguson, Man. U had unbelievable stats; 13 Premier Leagues, 2 Champions Leagues, 5 FA Cups, and more… However, the last couple of years have not been the best for the historic club. Trophy droughts, bad signings, and an ongoing cycle in which managers can’t seem to last long enough in the club to give results back.
This year, it seems it could be different though. The Red Devils are in the top position of the Premier League (which by the way is the most competitive league in the world). For a couple of weeks, in fact, Manchester United held the number one spot in the competition, surpassing incredible teams like Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea. That was until on January 27, United blew the league by losing to relegation contender, Sheffield United.
Currently Man. Utd sits comfortably at the second place of the PL, but it seems like a miracle would be needed in order for them to get back to the top and beat Manchester City, the team that is now at the top of the league. With the Premier League 2020-2021 season coming to an end on May 23, many things could still happen. Soccer is completely unpredictable. Do you think the Red Devils will be able to bring the title to the Old Trafford?
