Mazepin disappointment, Verstappen Controversy, Perez talent.

The first race of the 2021 F1 season has happened in Bahrain. Hamilton takes the win but the race was incredible. Throughout the last laps, Verstappen began making moves attempting to pass and win the race. He ended the race only being 0.7 seconds behind Hamilton. He was able to pass him in lap 54/56, however, he overran the 4th turn, making stewards tell him that he had to let Hamilton pass. This has caused controversy on the internet as Hamilton had been doing the same thing throughout the race and had not received punishment for it. Verstappen did have a small issue with his car, as a differential problem caused him to lose 0.3 seconds per lap. If this issue hadn’t presented itself, this could’ve been a win for Verstappen. Mazepin, in the first race of his F1 career, disappointed the HAAS team, spinning out and having to retire in the first lap. He made it through two turns before spinning into the barriers. Perez, who started in the pit lane, made his way through the field and was able to snatch fifth place overall. He was deemed driver of the race for his moves. Overall, it was a good start to the season, and it gives hope for what’s to come from the rest of the season. The next race will be in Emilia Romagna, on April 18th, see you there!
