Matisse: Good afternoon, Valentina. Let me say this straightforward, I believe you are a creative and fun person to be around. You are excellent at many different things, varying from fashion to soccer. I would like to interview you, so the ACS community gets to know you better.

Valentina: Sure.
Matisse: How would you describe yourself in three words?
Valentina: Unique, spontaneous and awesome.
Matisse: If you could be any animal in the world, which would you be and why?
Valentina: A wolf, because they are independant animals, they are always leading a pack, they are natural leaders.
Matisse: What do you work towards on your free time?
Valentina: I like to workout at the gym, read, draw, play Trivia Crack (http://www.triviacrack.com/) and learn many different new things.
Matisse: Everyone has a good app idea. What’s yours?
Valentina: An app that tells you jokes. When this app tells you some type of joke, such as dark humor joke, you have to react to this joke. Based on your reaction, the app gives you an outfit to try.
Matisse: What superpower would you like to have?
Valentina: Superintelligence.
Matisse: Where would you go in a time machine?
Valentina: The Renaissance, because it was a time period where people came out from suffering in the dark ages and everything flourished, such as technology as well as art, which is beautiful.
Matisse: Enough of exotic questions, let’s talk about fashion. You will study a career within the fashion industry, could you tell me a little about this?
Valentina: I only applied to one university called Istituto Marangoni. It is one of the best universities of fashion in Europe, located in Milan.
I have already visited it over last years summer, and realized it was the perfect place for me.
In the university, so many programs were offered and I was not sure which to choose, so I will first be taking a foundations year to learn all about the fashion industry world and then find what area I will be specializing on.

Matisse: Where was your love of fashion born?
Valentina: I would not call it love. I describe fashion as something that has always made me feel comfortable. Seeing how a person can feel better and outstandingly confident through fashion, is something that inspired me to study this career.
Matisse: What piece of fashion advice would you give to anyone?
Valentina: The most valuable accessory is confidence. Your type of style does not matter as long as you feel comfortable.
Matisse: What fashion advice would you give me?
Valentina: You are too ugly, I can not describe this in words, nothing can fix you. Just kidding Matisse, you can dress however you want. Las cosas como son.
Matisse: Let’s talk about soccer. You are the soccer girls team captain, am I right?
Valentina: Yes kind of.
Matisse: Tell me about your experiences as captain.
Valentina: Being captain was something that I was expecting since I was in 5th grade training with the boys soccer team.
I made many things to make sure that I would someday earn this position, but things do not always turn out like you want to.
Once more, I had to prove to a new coach of what I am capable of and show my leadership skills, so I could finally have this beautiful position as captain and share these experiences with my dearest friend, Gwendoline Tingey.
Matisse: You are excellent and known for creating memes. Could you share one your pieces of art with me right now?
Valentina:
Matisse: As a current senior, what advice would you give to any junior entering senior year?
Valentina: Senioritis is a myth, according to Mr. Ochs, but for me it feels pretty real. As long as you have study hall in your schedule, you will be fine.
Matisse: What is your favorite phrase?
