Meta and the future

During the last months, we have all heard of Meta, the new father company of the Facebook family, but let’s see what Meta actually is, the company’s plans, and what we can expect in the future. So, Mark Zuckerberg, a personality we all know very well, presented Meta. This new brand company will bring together all the existing companies in the Facebook family in a new project. From now on, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and many smaller companies we don’t hear about so often will work together to create the Metaverse.
The Metaverse will be a hybrid of today’s virtual and in-person interactions. The company’s model presents features of three-dimensional holograms. We will interact with people far away in a new way, which we had only seen in movies like Star Wars or Ready Player One. The company proposes to transcend the world of virtual and physical interactions by bringing them together. About the applications this would have in the world, well, we still do not know, but since what Meta proposes is not a product but an idea to change the way we interact with the world itself, the possibilities are endless. Some of the instances Zuckerberg mentioned while presenting the company were bringing together communities and growing businesses.
As I said, The Metaverse is, for now, just a concept. Still, with some of the most influential people on the planet in charge and companies responsible for most of our interpersonal relations backing the project up, we can rapidly expect news from meta, whether they start with a projector, a mobile app, or whatever they come up with. For now, we can only prepare for one of the most important events our generation will experience, aside from the global pandemic, obviously.
