NIKE

“Nike” is the world’s largest sports equipment company. It was founded in 1964 by Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman in Oregon, U.S.A. Their wide variety of products, such as: clothing, balls, shoes, and other accessories, are highly demanded because of their high quality. However, they are most widely known for their shoes.
The brand name comes from Greek mythology since Nike is the goddess of victory. In 1971, this popular logo (“The Swoosh”) was created by Carolyn Davidson, a graphic design student. This logo was created with the intention to transmit movement, and it represents the wing of the Nike. During the 80s, the emblematic slogan that accompanies the name and logo was born: “Just Do It.”
In 1978, Nike led the shoe industry by developing a line called Air Max: Nike’s first footwear line that made shoe air chambers visible. Currently, Nike has 700 stores around the world, numerous factories in Mexico, and several more in Asian countries. Moreover, Nike is a sponsor of many famous athletes and sports teams from around the world.
