Rafael Nadal wins the Mexican Open

Rafael Nadal, the Spanish player who won the Mexican Open today, Saturday, February 26, only two months have passed in 2022 and Nadal has already won three tennis titles.

Nadal started the year by winning the Melbourne Summer Set. Then, from this tournament he won the Grand Slam of Australia getting 21, this title made him break the record of the tennis player with the most grand slams in the history of tennis.

Nadal beat Cameron Norrie 6-4 6-4 on Saturday, the 26th to win the Mexico Open title. Nadal also let it be known that he has no rival after beating recent number one Daniil Medvedev 6-3 6-3 in the semifinal of the Mexico Open.

Winning the Mexican Open shows how much potential Nadal has, as he only played in seven tournaments last year due to a mid-season foot injury. The last time Nadal played was in early August 2021.

 

With this victory, the 35-year-old Spaniard obtained 91 ATP titles in his career. But he remains in second place with the most ATP titles behind Roger Federer, who has 103.
