Did it ever occur to you that a minuscule virus would take humans, hostage, inside their houses without the ability to move freely? Well, I’m pretty sure that none of us ever thought that such a would happen taking into consideration our advanced technology and science.
Many people all around the world might be hating being stuck at home, bored, and with nothing to do, but, do you ever think about how this quarantine is contributing to nature? Let’s put it this way; ever since the lockdown started, animals were seen in places where we have never seen them before. In Venice, Italy, dolphins were seen swimming in the crystal clear canals for the first time in years! When have you ever heard that Venice’s water was clear? NEVER, this is just amazing. Besides the fact that animals are enjoying nature, the skies have cleared up because factories were shut down and cars were no longer in the streets. It’s incredible how much damage humans can cause to the environment, don’t you think?
This lockdown has not only helped nature immensely, but it’s also an exceptional excuse to get to spend quality time with your family. Now, probably many of you are used to spending more time with friends than with your own families, but we should seriously appreciate this time to be with our loved ones; we don’t know when we will ever have such an opportunity to be with the people we love the most and I know this may sound weird, but another one of quarantine’s advantages is that you get to detach from people and just spend time with yourself. Some people might need time to get away and “disappear” in times where social media and social pressure follow you wherever you go.
I know quarantine might not be ideal for certain people, especially for the ones who are used to spending lots of time with friends, but we need to start looking at the bright side of things in life and stop complaining because we have no other choice. So instead of complaining about this lockdown, let’s embrace it.
