The Art of Helping Others

Ever since we were little, we are taught the idea to treat others with respect and to do things to others as you wish they be done to you.  This is an idea that we have further developed as we have grown older and it has also transformed into the idea that you should help those in need. Now it is not just about worrying how others might treat you, but also about helping those who are struggling and need assistance.

Although many of you might think that the entire idea of helping others is only done in order to get your CSP hours or to just fulfill a couple of lines on your resume, it is more about helping make someone happier.

One of the main things that people say when someone helps others is “you’re doing this in order to feel good about yourself”. This might be true for some people that help others, but for the most part people just come to the realization that helping others is something that we have to do and that is what makes them genuinely invested in helping others.

Being able to put yourself aside and help others when they are in need is a great trait to have if you currently have it or a great one to develop from now on. As a society filled with humans, it is not easy when we have to overcome challenges on our own. Of course, there are people who are brilliant who are able to overcome them, but that is rare and it even takes them a long time.

We should really look out for others because we are all united and we should respect and help those around us.
