United on Top

Manchester United are at the top of the Premier League for the first time since 2012.
United is one of the most condecorated teams in all of football history: they have a total of 20 Premier League titles, making them the team with the most Premier League wins in history, 3 Champions League wins, and 66 overall trophies. Even though they had such massive success, Manchester United hit a rough patch when legendary Sir Alex Ferguson retired from coaching football and their superstar Cristiano Ronaldo left the team to go to Real Madrid. On top of that, a series of poor managers and mediocre players threw Man. U. out of their throne completely.
After many years, things are finally going United’s way as Solskjaer, the new team manager has been getting much better results than his predecessors. This recent success can also be attributed to the player Bruno Fernandes, who has been doing wonders for the team.
Manchester right now are leading Liverpool on the premiership by 3 points, but the final results will be decided in the upcoming fixture (Sun. 17), where Manchester and Liverpool will face each other. As such, this match will probably be the most important one of the season. Let’s hope the reds can beat Liverpool and finally be where they deserve, at the top of the league.
