What is the hall of fame in basketball?

The NBA hall of fame is located in Massachusetts. Legends and honor players of the sport were able to get there. There is also a special list of coaches and referees. The hall of fame was created in 1981. There are some requirements for a player to be part of the hall of fame, like:
- He/She must be fully retired for 3 years.
- Only players with at least 50 career Win Shares are displayed.
The first player to be part of the hall of fame was Chuck Hyatt in 1959, some of his achievements were the National championship (Pittsburgh, 1928, 1930); College All-America (1929, 1930); Helms Foundation Player of the Year (1930).
